September 11, 2010Drummer Dave McClain of San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD took part in this year's La Rioja Drumming Festival, which was held on September 3-4, 2010 in Logroño, Spain. Video footage and photos of his appearance at the event can be viewed below.
As previously reported, MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn is offering a reward for the safe return of two guitars that were stolen from his Martinez, California home on September 7.
Thieves broke into Flynn's house between 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. while he was picking up his six-year-old son, Zander, from school.
"[They stole] my wife's jewelry, laptops, wakeboards, cash, and most importantly four of my guitars including the guitar that I recorded [the] first [MACHINE HEAD] album, 'Burn My Eyes', with," said Flynn in a statement. "Also stolen was a guitar that is priceless to me, that was a gift from [late PANTERA guitarist] Dimebag Darrell. The cocksuckers even stole my son Zander's mini Flying V I got him for Christmas!"
Flynn is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of a black Ibanez Stratocaster and a $2,000 reward for the safe return of the blue Washburn Dimebolt prototype.

MACHINE HEAD has commenced the songwriting process for the long-awaited follow-up to 2007's "The Blackening", tentatively due late 2011 via Roadrunner Records.
"The Blackening" — which has garnered numerous awards and enjoyed praise from both critics and fans alike since its release in 2007 — received yet another incredible honor in a recent issue of U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine, having been recognized by fans and magazine staff as the "Album of the Decade." The CD, which was re-released as a "special edition" in October 2008 via Roadrunner Records, was also certified silver by the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) for U.K. sales in excess of 60,000 copies.
After storming across Europe, MACHINE HEAD's "The Black Procession" tour hit Japan and Australia, putting an end to three incredible years of roadwork in support of "The Blackening". Continuing the assault with MACHINE HEAD were HATEBREED and BLEEDING THROUGH, with CROSSFAITH opening in Japan and EMMURE providing support in Australia.
